I’m excited to be starting my second MRes project at TAC. Under the supervision of both Eric Wagner and Mark Williams I will be carrying out antigen affinity purification to produce a pool of polyclonal antibodies against an expressed cell surface receptor on multiple myeloma cells, the cell culture of primary human myeloma cell lines to determine both binding by FACS and cell killing ability of the polyclonal antibodies.
In conjunction with this project a series of proof-of-concept experiments will be carried out, involving: the transfection of a full IgG-expressing plasmid into CHO cells, antibody screening, and purification.
