The Antibody Company, TAC, is a contract manufacturing organisation whose core specialisation is in the production of antibody from hybridoma and recombinant cell lines. TAC excels in working closely with clients to effectively partner with them to deliver their projects. As such, we work on a wide variety of antibody production related projects from process development to immunoassay development.
Core responsibilities
You will be responsible for the day to day management, design, performance and reporting of antibody development and related projects, both internally and to external partners including;
- generation and maintenance of cell lines suitable for the production of therapeutic and non therapeutic proteins
- designing antigen and immunisation strategies
- transfection of mammalian cell lines
- cell cloning
- cell culture and cell line characterisation
- protein/antibody purification
- characterisation of protein/antibody
- assay development
Qualifications and Skills
Essential
- Recombinant protein/antibody development
- Recombinant cell line development
- Mammalian cell culture in an industrial laboratory
- Transfecting cell lines
- Cell line cloning
- Self management and proactivity
- Data analysis and reporting
- Motivated
- Highly Organised
- Degree in a life sciences discipline
DESIRABLE
- Practical molecular biology experience
- Protein chemistry, purification and analysis
- Experience of Unicorn
- Immunoassay development
- PhD
